I’m not sure how to do this, as the issue is relegated to playback from inside Audacity. Both headphones and line outs were checked in all cases. What are your settings for that device in /Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup? Ensemble & Duet 2 = 44.1k, 24 bitWhat Audacity project rate do you usually use?I have only opened files so far, so Audacity’s defaults of 44.1k / 16 bit are all that I’ve tried.ĭo you have Transport > Overdub (on/off) switched on (checked)? If so, does turning Overdub off help? This does not seem to affect the condition in either settingĬan you provide a link to an example file that crackles when you play it in Audacity? For example, you could upload it to dropbox, or similar. Playback conditions (same file, different devices) are: Ensemble - crackling, Duet - Choppy / Stuttering playing (possibly the same as noted by others?), Built-In Audio - No noticeable problems. This does not seem to have any affect on the issue.Įxactly what device are you using for playback? Here we may have somethingTypically I use an Apogee Ensemble in the studio and a Duet 2 for playing live. Whoever, I did try having several files open at the same time to see if it had any perceptible affect, which it did not. This seems to be relegated purely to playback while in Audacity. Yes, the newly created version (from Audacity) plays back without any of the noise in iTunes 11. However, I’m not recording in this case and I’ve tried several buffer settings in Audacity just to be thorough. The only time I’ve heard something similar to this is when I’ve had buffer settings too low while recording in Logic. So far every audio file I’ve opened in the program has this defect. While I’ve not set up an exhaustive control group to check, Logic, iTunes, Peak, Reason and Ableton Live files were imported into Audacity. The only thing that changed between the two is that 2.0.5 no longer crashes on opening a file. Also, please note that the condition I’m reporting happens in 2.0.4 and 2.0.5. Other than the inclusion of this noise there is no other affect on playback continuity. What I’m hearing is a crackling / clicking during playback. Without hearing the condition that others have described as “choppy” or “stuttering”, I cannot say if this is the same issue I’m experiencing. If you Tracks > Mix and Render the imported audio in Audacity, does that stop the crackle?Įxactly what device are you using for playback? What are your settings for that device in /Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup? What Audacity project rate do you usually use?ĭo you have Transport > Overdub (on/off) switched on (checked)? If you import audio into Audacity that sounds OK in other players, then export it from Audacity as 16-bit WAV at 44100 Hz project rate (see bottom left of the Audacity window), and then play it in iTunes, does it still sound OK?ĭo you drag the audio rightwards after importing it into Audacity, so that there is white space in the track before the audio waveform starts?ĭo you have multiple files in one project window? What application produced the problem files? Are you using Soundflower? So I hope you won’t mind a few questions. We do have a few reports of “choppy” or “stuttering” playback in 2.0.4 on OS X, but the problem is not reproducible on any of our machines. I’m a… “Stranded” former Peak user that has no Mac compatible 2-track editor solution. Happy to report that the problem opening files seems to have been resolved (at least on my platform), but the crackling audio persists.Īny help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. After experiencing the “crashing while opening file” bug that was plaguing 2.0.4, I’ve fully uninstalled that version and reinstalled 2.0.5.This issue has nothing to do with recording levels as the files have already been recorded.the noise does not get better or worse when file is: edited, during louder or quieter sections, or with different file formats. To my ear, the crackling behavior does not seem to be related to the source material (i.e.I’ve experienced this on several files that all play back with no defects on every other audio program I have. Farming Simulator 15 was the first in the series that offered a kind of online multiplayer that allowed players to compete or collaborate with one another. Because this is a simulator, the player is expected to insert himself into the game as the main character, but there are very few interactions with NPCs inside the title. Charactersįarming Simulator 17 does not have any named characters to speak of in the game. Upgrading the farm itself, either by getting more land ready for new crops, or by adding new buildings and employees have been included in previous versions of Farming Simulator and will likely be included in Farming Simulator 17. These brands are all the most well known farming equipment in real life and users will be able to choose through these brands depending on how much money players have to spend. As the Farming Simulator series has progressed, more of the equipment featured in the series have been branded and named. In past versions of the game, players have started out with the most basic and dated equipment and must either raise enough money to update and repair the equipment or buy brand new equipment for the farm. Along wth a kind of open world approach where players can act as farmers who run their own property, there are a number of missions that will lead to the overall success of the game mode.Ī Career mode allows players to decide what they want to plant, or what kind of animals they want to raise on their farm. Online Multiplayer was first introduced into the series with Farming Simulator 15 and it would makes sense for that feature to be offered again in Farming Simulator 17, though those kinds of additions to the newest game have not been confirmed by either Giants or Focus Home Interactive. It’s likely that the game will have a number of the advancements that other versions in the series have seen, with new items and vehicles put into the game. The story unfolds however the players choose to have it unfold. The basic background of the game is that the players are running their own farm and must try and not only make sure the equipment and food are being produced and kept up but also that the farm is actually turning a profit. There is no story mode like other games traditionally carry in Farming Simulator 17. There is no indication yet whether or not the game will also be offered through the Windows 10 store, but games offered on PC and Xbox One have been getting offered through the Windows 10 store since it went live. In the past, the game has been released through Giants’ online portal as well as Steam. It’s expected to be on the PS4 and Xbox One as well as the PC. The game is expected to land sometime in the fourth quarter of 2016. The two companies have also offered some version of a Farming Simulator on mobile platforms such as iOS, though there hasn’t been any mention of porting the title to mobile platforms in the small bit of information Focus Home Interactive or Giants Software has given out so far. The two teams have said the game will be released simultaneously on the consoles as well as the PC, though it isn’t clear whether the game is only going to be on the current generation consoles or whether there might also be an Xbox 360 and PS3 version. This event would allow members of the gaming press to get a look at several titles Focus Home was publishing, as well as have a Q&A session with the developers of Farming Simulator 17. At the same time the game was announced, Focus Home Interactive announced it would be holding a press event in Paris, France. While the continuation of the series and the partnership between Focus Home Interactive and Giants Software was accompanied by a couple of screenshots of the game, no trailer has been released as of April of 2016. At the same time the game was announced, it was given a release date of “end of the year, 2016.” That was as close to an actual date as the developers were able to provide at the time of the announcement. On FebruFarming Simulator 17 was officially announced by both Focus Home Interactive and Giants Software. I'm going to respectfully disagree with the first point *if* the workshop is any significant distance from the existing main panel. Thanks for any thoughts you ,may and feel free to identify additional pictures that would be useful also - I can get additional pictures if it would be helpful (for example pull out all of the breakers). I don't plan on wiring the sub panel into the main panel myself but all branch circuits will be done by me. The last breaker on the left side is similar except the two screws are side by side - again I think this is a space saving tandem breaker controlling two separate circuitsįinally - I always assumed the neutral and ground bars were the same and that it didn't matter where the ground wire was attached or where the neutral (white on a 110 circuit) was attached - is that correct?īTW - this is a 125 max amp rated box with copper wire. I'm think this is a special breaker that saves space by allowing two 110 circuits on one breaker? If this is true - then all of the breakers (except the top two) are 110 however there are three on the top right that have two connection screws and are marked "R" for the lower screw. My very limited understanding is that a 220 breaker connects to both bars and a 110 connects only to one side. The top left breaker is 50 amp 2 pole and I think was functioning as a 220 volt branch circuit breaker - however, the box label indicates the top right breaker controls only half of of the branch circuits which would make me believe the top left controlled the other half but I don't see how? I want to use this as a sub panel box and really don't need main breakers in it if they can be disconnected. I "think" this was functioning as a main. I believe this was previously used as a main panel - the top right breaker is a 60 amp 2 pole (connects to both conductor bars) and has a heavy gauge wire going to each of the two bars under the breakers. I know just enough about this to make me dangerous. Now for the questions - I was given an older (think 1970's) Square D QOBW load center full of breakers I want to add a sub panel for the shop - the sub panel will be essentially right next to the main panel The sub panel will be controlled by a 100 amp breaker in the main. I currently have a 200 amp service for the house. The Daylight Saving Time (DST) is widely used in Europe and North America, and also in some parts of Africa, Australia, South America. The countries with multiple time zones in the mainland area (some of them also have the insular territories) are Russia, USA, Canada, Australia, Mexico, Brazil, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kiribati, Micronesia, Chile, Spain, Portugal, and Ecuador. The situation is the same in the United Kingdom, Denmark, New Zealand, Netherlands. There are independent states with multiple time zones, and the record-holder is France with 12 zones, but 11 of them are used in overseas areas and only one in the country's mainland. In some cases, time zone borders and DST can be a political tool, most recently in Russia, Ukraine, and North Korea. All the observed world time zones are listed by country (or territory) in the table below. In most countries, the political decision to make adjustments regarding time zones or DST is made for practical reasons, like saving energy, facilitating trade with neighboring areas, or boost tourism. Time zone names worldwide Hot Political Potato In many parts of the world, especially in countries with only one time zone, time zone names are not commonly used at all. For example, India Standard Time (IST) and Israel Standard Time (IST) have the same abbreviation, but completely different UTC offsets of UTC+5:30 and UTC+2:00. Learn how to use military time Identical AbbreviationsĪnother point that can cause confusion is that some time zone's names in totally different places have exactly the same abbreviation. J (Juliet Time Zone) is occasionally used to refer to the observer's local time. The reason there are 25 military time zones instead of 24 is that Mike Time Zone (M) and Yankee Time Zone (Y) are the same time, but on either side of the International Date Line. and are used in aviation, at sea, and in telecommunications. These are named according to the NATO phonetic alphabet: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, etc. There are also 25 military time zones which follow the rule of 1 hour per 15 degrees longitude. In Havana, Cuba, the standard time zone is also UTC-5, but it's called Cuba Standard Time (CST). The time zone names may be completely different, even though the UTC offset is the same.įor instance in Miami, Florida, is 5 hours behind UTC (UTC-5) and the standard time zone is Eastern Standard Time (EST). To confuse matters more, each time zone can have different local time zone names, usually linked to the geographical name of the country or region. The formal name for Central Time in the US is either Central Standard Time or Central Daylight Time. However, Arizona's local time is always UTC-7, because there's no DST in Arizona, and they remain on standard time all year. The reason is that California's local time during DST is UTC-7, but the standard time in California is minus one more hour: UTC-8. For instance, during DST, it is common to say “California and Arizona are now in the same time zone.” However, the correct thing to say would be: “California and Arizona now have the same local time.” The term time zone is often used instead of local time. The areas that don't use DST remain on standard time zone all year.įor example, California uses Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) during the DST period, but Pacific Standard Time (PST) during the rest of the year. The words “daylight” or “summer” are then usually included in the time zone name. Regions that use Daylight Saving Time (DST) change the time zone name and time during the DST period. This makes the total number of time zones worldwide much higher. Also, the International Date Line (IDL), creates 3 time zones and several time zones are only 30 and 45 minutes apart. However, the actual borders on the time zone map have been drawn to match up with both internal and international borders, and rarely match up exactly with the 15-degree longitudes. If each time zone were 1 hour apart, there would be 24 in the world. Interactive Time Zone Map More Than 24 Time Zones The offset is expressed as either UTC- or UTC+ and the number of hours and minutes. UTC time changes 1 hour forward and backward corresponding to a 1-hour difference in mean solar time for every 15 degrees east or west of the prime meridian (0° longitude) in Greenwich, London, United Kingdom. The local time within a time zone is defined by its offset (difference) from Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), the world's time standard. Business Date to Date (exclude holidays)Īt we define a time zone as a region where the same standard time is used.

If this really is like the Infection, maybe the spread of Lifeblood is similarly how the Abyss Creature stays alive. The only thing that we know is bad about it is that it's considered a taboo. It doesn't seem like there's any negative side effects to Lifeblood, both in terms of gameplay mechanics and how other NPCs talk about it. As I said, this might not be as malevolent. So what if Lifeblood serves a similar purpose? Maybe somehow the Lifeblood substance connects one to the Abyss Creature. (Thus her dream nail dialogue of "I WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN") It seems one of her main reasons for doing so is to keep existing, as the infection connects her minds to theirs, meaning she can't be forgotten and can therefore still exist. The Infection, though how exactly it was created is unknown, is being used by the Radiance to infect the minds of bugs. Just as the Infection is connected to the Radiance, I believe Lifeblood also provides a form of connection to the Abyss Creature. We can see the resemblance most clearly with the very similar creatures of Lifeseeds and Lightseeds. Well, I believe Lifeblood is a similar substance to the Infection, though not malevolent in and of itself. So what is this stuff, and why is there a spooky creature hiding in the background connecting it? Lifeblood is definitely one of the more curious mysteries in the game as we don't really know much about it other than that the Pale King didn't like it. So I might not be the first to this theory but I'm gonna propose it anyways. The nice things about a sim setup is a track day is anytime you want where a weekend you have to dedicate more time to, prep, driving, waiting etc. It wont ever replace the real thing (Atleast today) but with VR/ good graphics its the closest I could get.Ĭost wise both money and time, I guess its going to differ on your budget. It gives you the same feel and allows you to practice some crafts and no doubts allows you to improve. I come from a Baseball background and used to be a Pitcher so the best analogy I can make is instead of Throwing in a actual game its like throwing a scrimmage/ Bullpen. I've only Auto crossed my G80 so far but even there I couldn't replicate that same feeling with my setup. It did itch the scratch but still doesn't have that same adrenalin rush, G-forces and danger of actually being on track. I got into Sim racing after doing a few track days in my old car and a couple performance schools. Sorry must have miss interpreted before in a nut shell for me its worth it. Sounds like you have a lot of sim experience, have you been able to scratch that itch of real driving? Or should I just not even try to replicate the real driving experience? I’m more concerned with the question, will a sim rig ever give me most of the real life driving experience? I’m down to spend $10k on a setup with all the top of the line sim gear, but would that money be better spent on brakes, tires, and track fees? I appreciate the feedback here but I’m not really concerned about how to make a good rig. Hope this helps but if you wanna do some research there's a Sim Racing group on FB that should be a good spot to ask for some gear options based on budget too. BUT, nothing beats the ability to be able to look into a corner, check your blind spot and you get a much better sense of distance in VR. VR is a mixed bag, requires a bit more setup and troubleshooting at times, and long races get HOT!!!!. I started with a Oculus CV1 but am using a HP Reverb G2 now. I've used rigs with Triples but for me nothing beats VR although it has its drawbacks. Having a good set of pedals that have a Loadcell is a must have IMO. I started with a Logitech G920, got a used Fanatec belt wheel after for a bit and then moved to the DD CSL. I had a GT omega its okay, its not as sturdy as the 80/20 builds and lacks in some areas. If you want to DIY I think 80/20 simg rigs is still a good option. if you do go with a rig get a sturdy one that will have some future proofing. This is all my opinion/ if I were to do it all over again. This was 6 years ago so options were still limited by todays market. I started my setup on my desk and then moved to an actual rig. I'm only on PC since it offered the most at the time. I also have a few higher end gaming PCs that I’ve built, so switching to PC would be very easy for me. Do you think it’s worth it for me to invest a few thousand into building a good sim rig or should I just invest that money into more track time?įew side notes, I’m a new(ish) father with very little time to take trips to far away tracks. So my question is really to those of you who have spent the money and went all in on building a good sim setup. It feels nothing like driving a real car and I really can’t drive anywhere near the limit due to having basically zero feedback from my setup. I mainly want to use a sim rig to practice when I’m not able to be on the track.Īfter having my G80 M3 and tracking it a few times, I’ve noticed that this sim setup is not giving me what I want. It’s pretty fun and I have all the driver assist settings turned off so I can focus on becoming a better driver. I have a pretty low quality build at the moment and I’ve only really played GT7 on the PS5 with a cockpit and Logitech wheel & pedals (G29). Should I spend money building a nice sim rig or will it never scratch that itch of actually being on the track? |
